Run in the leafy suburb of Warrandyte, our Community Fun Run caters for ALL ages and categories of runners and promises to be a great day.
Our picturesque course, takes you alongside the Yarra River and into the beautiful Warrandyte State Park.
Runners return to our Festival Village, where they can receive a relaxing massage or grab a coffee and some food, while watching the medal presentations.
We also have plenty of entertainment to keep the kids active and occupied.

First-timer at runwarrandyte. The trail sections kinda ruined my run "mojo". Then having the #garmin HRM falling off my chest didn't help either 😅

Either way, that didn't stop me from finishing what I started! Happy with the result and getting my first race in 2023 out of the way 😃😃😃

Run Warrandyte this morning. Great to be able to support & run a local 'Fun Run'. Raising $$ for the local sporting clubs in the local community.

Warrandyte 2023 21km. 5th place. My first race in over a year due to on-going injury and getting other medical/health tests done. Used this race as a stepping stone to see where I am and how I felt, hopefully I can kick on from here.

#RunWarrandyte has always been a must do on the Westerfoldians event calendar and this year we had a great team join in the 15km, 10km and 2.2km events as well as having fabulous cheer squad all around the course. So fabulous to join an event that supports the local community and a town where many of our members live. And of course, we love any excuse for a coffee and a chat afterwards.

March has been a good month for running events 🏃‍♀️
.
I started the month with Run Warrandyte (raising funds for local sporting clubs) where I was lucky enough to nab a second place in the 10km 50+ age category 🥈
.
It’s a cracker of a run through the hills of Warrandyte and along the beautiful trails beside the river, where I’ve run many times over the years. If you like some up and down, and some lovely scenery, lock this event in for 2026 (1 March)
.
Yesterday was the Main Yarra Trail Classic 10 km, raising funds for cancer research and prevention, where again I managed a placing - 3rd in the 55+ category, a real surprise! 🥉
.
If you’ve ever wondered about being ‘older’ or ‘too old’ to compete, I would really encourage you to register for a small, local event because you may just surprise yourself. There’s no way I would be a competitive runner in a younger age category but you can only compete against those who turn up and you may just be lucky - like me! 😊
.
For both runs I just wanted to run consistently, starting out conservatively and then picking it up towards the end if I felt good - and that’s exactly what I did.
.
I’ve been having a few issues with my hips and back for a while now so this week it’s off for some scans. Next is the Ballarat Half (hopefully) and I can tell you now, there will be no records set there because it will be more a case of finishing alive! Sadly, I am no distance runner … 😑
